Why is human trafficking serious?
Human trafficking is serious because it is a horrible crime. Everyone should be going out freely and not be scared on doing what they want to do in this free world.
According to TDCAA, Everyone or mostly girls, should have the rights on not being mentally or physically abused, tortured, killed, or assaulted. We all have the right to be safe and secure in our homes and in public. There should be no problems on being outside or anywhere we go.
Transitional Statement: Human trafficking is worse than what you think, the consequences are horrible for the victims. So now, I will explain to you what happens during human trafficking.
III. What are the Elements of Human Trafficking?
According to unodc.org,
What human traffickers do.
Human traffickers recruit and transport people from places to places and the victims has no clue where they are going because they are trapped.
How human trafficking is done.
It is done by the use of threat or force. Since the victim was abducted and all drugged up, the victim will be treated poorly and has nobody to help. Also the person who sold the victim to another trafficker is controlled by the giving payments.
Why human trafficking is done.
Human trafficking is done for the pleasure of the trafficker and also, which is major, the money. When the victim is being sold to another and onto another, the trafficker is getting paid on the higher bid of the victim.
IV. How does human trafficking work?
According to lastrada.org,
Human trafficking works by a person, which is a trafficker showing fake advertisements on jobs and vacations. Some can even happen if there is a fake marriage contracting. Human trafficking mostly happens when a young girl and a older man has a love relationship but the young girl get too attached to the older man and doesn’t even know him, they run off together. And the girl doesn’t even know he was a trafficker. So it is better for people to make better decisions and knowing who you are surrounded by and with.
According to polaris project, Victims face many challenges in accessing help. The traffickers will take whatever the victim has including identification and money.. They may not know where they are, because they have been drugged up or beaten and moved frequently. They can not communicate with anybody even with close ones. However, when the traffickers abducts you, they are now in control because they can do anything to you. Which is scary and horrible because you CAN’T do anything about it, once the traffickers kidnaps you, it is a done deal unless there are ways to escape.
