Some uses for drones are remote sensing, commercial aerial surveillance, commercial and motion picture streaming, disaster relief, recreational use, real estate and construction, oil, gas, and mineral exploration. Now, drones are used as/for toys, delivering, farming, and as a personal helper. Children get these drones for fun. Some drones that they get for fun are the SYMA X5C Explorers Quadcopter Drone, DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter Drone, Cheerson CX-10 Mini Quadcopter Drone, Holy Stone F181 RC Quadcopter Drone, etc. Some places (2) the drones are delivering for are Amazon and Domino’s.

In farming the drones help with increasing crop production and monitoring crop growth. The drones help the farmers get clearer pictures of the fields. The information can help prove in making crop yields and farm efficiency. A personal drone (hobby/consumer drone) is made for mass markets. The first toy drone was made in 1920 by Etienne Omichen. It flew 360 meters and made 1000 successful flights. Later on in 1956 the Convertawings Model A quadcopter appeared. This drone was made by Dr. George E. Bothezat. Toy drones are now being built with LED.

Also they are now being controlled with by cellphones. They’re also in different colors now. Some of the best drones today are DJI Mavic Air, DJI Mavic 2Pro, DJI Spark, DJI Phantom 4, Parrot Bebop 2, Parrot Anafi, DJI Mavic Pro, and DJI Inspire 2. These drones can fly to 11,000 feet even though in the United States drones are permitted to go no higher than 400 feet unless the FFA tells them otherwise. In the European Union the drones can fly 500 feet above ground.
