How it works

Childhood obesity can be prevented in many ways. Parents are the main ones with a say so on obesity. They allow their children to digest all kinds of bad foods. Parents should introduce on a daily basis different kinds of healthy foods. They should also promote is by showing children how healthy food are good for the body. You have some children that won’t eat healthy things because of the color and the way it looks. Obesity is one of the things that no child needs to experience.

Why is because all of this leads to bullying and teasing. No child should have to endure bullying because he/she may be bigger than the rest of the other kids in class. I would have to say that as long as parents are being healthy their children will be to. Obesity has increased to much over the years and it can be changed. Only if parents are willing to allow the change to happen. Overall obesity can be prevented if the parent and child let it.

The fundamental purpose of these tasks is to form one’s own identity and to prepare for adulthood. Adolescence are the years from puberty to adulthood divided into three stages early adolescence , ages 11- 14 middle adolescence 14-17 and late adolescence 18-21. Adolescence between childhood and adulthood has a developmental process involving major physical, psychological, cognitive and social transformations. An adolescent may grow several inches in several months followed by a period of very slow growth, then have another growth spurt. Changes with puberty sexual maturation may occur gradually or several signs may become visible at the same time. There is a great amount of variation in the rate of changes that may occur. Some teenagers may experience these signs of maturity sooner or later than others. Adolescents is something that every child will have to experience from developing socially and emotionally.

Childhood obesity is a term that many people refer to as being overweight with a lot of body mass. Children can be overweight but also healthy. Many doctors and parents don’t see it that way. There is a difference between being overweight and unhealthy, and overweight and healthy. Children that have access body mass can also come from genetics passed from parents to offspring. In my family there are a few of us that are very overweight and healthy. Basically what is being said is that even though body mass determines if you are obese or not but does the healthy part count. It’s just like the saying you can’t judge a book by its cover so why judge a person due to if they are big or not. Honestly weight doesn’t matter the healthy part does. When children are considered to be obese many of them go into a stage of depression and anxiety. This is caused by being bullied in schools and parents not taken action at home. When dealing with the obese part the parents are the ones responsible. They allow their children to eat all kinds of fatty foods and sugary drinks that causes fat. It’s so common in our society today to see parents allowing their kids to eat fast food everyday instead of preparing a healthy meal. When it comes to the fast food many children prefer it because of the toys that comes with the meal. My son is the same way and in trying to break him from it. He won’t eat his food unless he has something sweet to eat before. When he come home from school he cries for chips and candy. So it’s both the parent and the child’s fault that cause obesity. With obesity comes health problems as well. Some of these problems high blood pressure and high cholesterol. To avoid obesity i recommend that parents should be a big role model to their children on what being healthy is. What steps and diet plans should be taken in action. Walks, runs, exercising and eating healthy can be a big help in preventing obesity.

Adolescence is basically broken down into three sections. You have early adolescence, middle adolescence and late adolescence. In this part of my paper I will mostly be talking about middle and late adolescence. This will be the ages of 11-21. Adolescence is part of a child’s life when they began to go through stages of puberty and peer pressure. This is when children began to go through body changes and discomfort due to hormones. Children then become more secretive about certain things and they will have the tendency to act up. Its a normal thing but some parents don’t know what drives their children to be so different. Parents be in a situation were they wonder why their child doesn’t want to wear a certain shirt. Why that child may not want the same hairstyle anymore and ect. This is all caused by adolescence it’s not a faze it’s simply a time in a child’s why were they start to make there own decision. No matter if its good or bad. During this stage the mindset is different you have children wanting to know about sexuality and relationships. The girls starts wearing make up and more skin is shown. They may have a boy that goes to school with them that they like. This is when sneaking out the house occurs. When adolescence occurs I recommend that parents don’t blame themselves for the behavior of their children. No matter how well you may have raised your child when adolescence hit don’t blame yourself. It’s just a time in a child’s life when he/she begins to find themselves

emotionally and sexually. No parent can stop it. Yes that child may experience drugs and alcohol adolescence is a time for them to learn from their mistakes. When going through adolescence parents have realize that their child is becoming an adult. Parents need to accept the fact that they have to let their children go when it’s time.
